Yes, whilst you make a valid point i agree - I will chalk that one to stupidity (and idleness) - will work on that tomorrow, but that still doesnt explain the customs charges. Even if i was to return the item, I'd still require a refund of the Postage and the Charges would I not?
I'd say yes. While normally you'd be able to get a refund of vat by proving you'd already paid VAT (memory site says all prices are inclusive), not sure this would work as you've cancelled - and usually they still wont refund the "handling fee" (which about 2 years ago with RM was £8 or so.....so the handling fee will likely be the majority of it).
But the company should refund the charges. Alternatively, you could offer to waive the charge in exchange for the product free/at a highly discounted rated.
