buygenuinesoftware.com - are they legit?

Just got a new PC and looking into getting an updated version of Office to go with it. Found buygenuinesoftware.com offering it far cheaper than anywhere else I can find - seems too good to be true? Apart from one person posting on mumsnet that they'd bought Office from them with no problems, and this thread on another forum (asking the same question I am and getting rather negative but only speculative replies), I can't find anything either positive or negative about them.

P.S. In true Moneysaving style, am considering Open Office - or rather LibreOffice - too!

It doesn't appear to be listed at Companies House and a WHOIS lookup indicates only that the site is based in California.

Also, if you pop the address into Google Maps you'll find yourself looking at either a block of flats or The Wilmington Arms - because the building number doesn't quite match the postcode.

Now all we need is some newly registered "satisfied customer" to start posting glowing references, just to prove the scam.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I've just installed LibreOffice so I'll see how I get on with that for a while before I fork out £90 for a definitely-legit version of MS Office.

Hmmm interesting that only their download option is for sale and not their 'buy package' option.

The reason is that you'll end up downloading pirated software.
