I don't see the problem, you are sending multiple things to the same address so why not combine? If they had purchased without asking for a combined invoice would you still charge them the seperate amounts?
Because since Royal Mail changed their price stucture - it can be DEARER to send combined. Eg 2 x 749g items cost £4.40 2nd class. Combine and they have to go 1st class at £6.50.
Even standard parcels is now £5.30 - and its less reliable then myhermes and Yodel put together.
Some people always think they know better though.0 -
I was selling quite a few bulky items and one bidder won two items and asked me for combined postage. I packaged the items up together and weighed them and realised it would be cheaper to send them separately so I sent him an email saying very sorry but that would actually cost him more if I combined. Cue an email back called me a money grabbing rip-off merchant scam artist along with various expletives and him saying he would report me to Ebay and I would never sell again! I calmly emailed back with the sizes and weights of the parcels separately and together, and a link to the charges on the Royal Mail website, and blocked him from bidding on anything else. Never heard back from him and ended up re-selling the items to two lovely people who both collected instead, a rare happy ending for my Ebay selling experiences!

Exactly. I recently combined and posted at a loss - just to avoid such abuse.0
