Key insurance - is it worth getting?

I've bought a car
Damn: only one key!
Cost of getting a new one: £243! (+VAT most probably!)
Key insurance - these seem to be at a really cheap price
Should I buy?
Cheapest I have found is £15 for a year - from a reputable company
Just looking for opinions
Thanks

I always have it and have used it twice when I lost my van keys. Would have cost nearly £250 each time.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

You might be able to add key cover on to your house insurance. Many offer extra key protection as a separate policy and might also cover your house / office keys. So if you need to use it your no claims discount is not affected.
It's up to you if you think paying an extra £15 a year is worth it - you calculate the risk of losing the key!
I would advise to check exclusions / excesses on any policy before purchasing0 -
who offer that insurance please? I only have 1 key also, would be big problem if I lost it0

Just loked at the terms on one, If the keys are lost for 3 days you can make a claim. 3 days....
You pay all costs and they re-imburse you.
