Ebay Feedback calculation screw up

I've got 100% positive feedback with 28 positives from 28 unique users.
But ... my score was 27.
I emailed ebay asking them why.
I got a very patronsing reply explaining how feedback scores were calculated but amazingly my feedback score was adjusted to 28 a little while before the email arrived. Nowhere in their reply did they admint there had been a problem.
Here's what they said ( amongst other things )
So .. .better check your scores .. especially if you received feedback over the weekend ( the 28th was left on Sunday morning but my score was still 27 at lunchtime today )

> out of which all 28 are from 'unique users'. Please note, the total
> score of feedback depend only on the feedback from 'unique users'.
> Hence, your total score is 28.

i think the problem lies with ebay's system, if you recieve a feedback (hopefully all positive), although you can see the comment, your actual rating and score doesnt change immediately, it takes a little time for the computer processes to run through.
I have seen this on several occasions, but it always corrects itself eventually.smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

i think the reason might just be a synchronisation issue with their database/s, i think sometimes your actual score isnt in synch with the actual number of positive feedback comments received, ive found it usually seems to sort itself out in an hour or 2 tho.0

couple of hours maybe ... but surely not a day and a half !0

a day and ahalf does a little extreme, in the early days of ebay
they used to shut down parts of the system for weekly maintenance, it is possible that this maintenance still goes on, but they certainly dont shut down now.smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

And remember you can only have one feedback from each eBay member. For example, you might win 5 auctions all from one seller but your feedback score will only go up by one.
JoshThe main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0 -

Ebay customer service are the biggest bunch of 'tards i've ever come across.
Not long ago i got a mail off them telling me that an auction i was active in had been cancelled due to the seller mis-representing something. All fine and well you might think but this mail arrived 2 days after the auction had closed and i'd paid for the goods.
When i'd complained about why and how they managed to cancel the auction after it had already closed i got a reply telling me that the seller had corrected the error and it was now an active auction again and if i had any worries about the money i paid then to contact the seller0
