Buildings Insurance on empty BTL

We are currently doing up our old house which will be let out soon, hopefully by the end of the year. The house is currently empty, although occupied during the day quite a few times a week for work being done. Our old insurance policy has just run it's course.
Can I just take out bog standard building insurance for now, or will I need to take out a specialist policy for an empty house until it's let out?
(No mortgage, so doesn't have to be insured for that purpose)
Thank you for any help.

You can't take out a standard policy.
Maybe try
