It's up to you. It's just another type of insurance.

I prefer to put the monthly premiums I would otherwise pay into a savings account to spend should I ever need help, or to enjoy at my leisure as I want.

But that may not suit everyone. Some prefer the security they think such insurance provides them (but make sure you read and fully understand all the terms & conditions if that applies to you)

As it's a new boiler, are you sure there is no cover currently in place? e.g. maufacturer's and or supplier's/installers guarantee?

Since new boilers have a manufacturer's warranty of between one and five years (and rarely less than two), what would be the point?
You'd be paying for cover you already have.

If the new boiler has a warranty of less than 5 years don't buy it. Some now have 7 year cover.

Over the warranty time save the money you would pay on a service plan and once the warranty is expired you have a repair fund of a few hundred quid.
