How long after return for refund??

Hi, hoping some of you clever people can help- I've looked on the ebay forum but I can't find an answer

Husband bought an item which was faulty and unsafe. Didn't get anywhere with the seller so opened a case through ebay, who asked us to return it with tracking. Its now been over a week since the item was received by the seller, and in the "resolution centre" theres a message saying that we don't need to do anything, and we'll receive a refund after item received. When you click on the tracking details, it definitely says that it was received, but ebay dont seem to acknowledged this yet.

Theres no option to contact them online, so should I phone them or just be more patient?

  • Have you escalated the dispute to a claim?

    If not, have a look in the resolution centre for 'Take Action' next to your case. Click the link that allows you to escalate the dispute to customer services to make a decision.

    Yes, thank you. It has been escalated, which is why theres now no option for me to contact ebay anywhere. On the open case, it says that its "awaiting delivery" and a refund will be made as soon as its delivered. But its over a week since delivery. Its as though ebay hasnt realised that its been delivered.

    Think I'm just going to have to call them, but thats always been a bit of a head-banging exercise in the past :rotfl:

    If that the case then yes, I think I would phone them now as well, it might wake them up..
