Parking charge notice

Hello everyone,
I paid and displaid a valid ticket when I worked in RD&E hospital.Unfortunally I didn't display a permit too!I got a fixed penalty issued by CP PLUS LTD.I appealed but this was turned down.
I then sent a cheque for the sum of £30 within the reduced charge time frame.Four weeks later I got a letter from the Dect Recovery Plus LTD people to say that I hadn't pay the £30 and that I now should pay £100 or else they will get in touch with their solicitors.
My bank manager told me that the original cheque hasn't been cashed after 4 weeks so decided to stop the cheque. The cheque got lost in the post or someone misled it.
I went to the Citizen Advise Bureau(CAB)2 days ago and they sugested that I send an other cheque for the sum of £30 again not £100,first class recorded delivery with a covering letter. The CAB also suggested I email the Dept Recovery Plus Ltd Manager asking him to put the case on hold while I am disputting the case with CP PLUS LTD.
Does someone know if they still can take me to court or/and ask me to pay the £100?
I met my responsabilities and acted in good faith.
I am new to MSE and I hope someone can get back to me with some interesting material regarding this case.
Best regards.

Do not send any more money. Be thankful the first cheque was not cashed. I hope you didn't send anothe cheque. CAB are useless when it comes to private parking tickets. You have paid to park. You owe them nothing. Just ignore them for now on.
Have a look around this forum, especially trhe "stickies" to get an understanding of the whole scam.

You paid to park. Their loss is zero, zilch, nowt, nothing, sweet FA, begger all, £0.00. You owe them nothing. They are trying to mislead you into giving them your money. They are powerless to take any money from you.
I suggest:
1. Get the bank to confirm the first cheque has been stopped.
2. Do not contact CP Plus (a bunch of scammers) or Debt Recovery Plus (another bunch of powerless scammers). DR+ may pretend to be another company, Zenith Collections(?). Ignore them too. I have had many many many letters from these crooks over the last few years, I ignored them all - that was the end of it. Sometimes they gave up before reaching the end of their letter chain, I suspect I may be on their 'Knows we are scammers' list and so they don't bother too much with me anymore.
3. Ignore all communications from both these companies unless proper valid court papers arrive (they won't).
4. Come back here for reassurance if you need it if/when they send you their standard threatening letters.
Ignore what you were told by Citizens Advice. They are ignorant in this area and take their advice from the BPA (An association of crooked parking companies) of all people! It's like the police being advised by a burglar to tell people to leave their back doors unlocked and the police passing that advice on!0 -
Another example of CAB providing absolutely shocking advice.0
