I suffer with social phobia and find it extremely difficult interacting with people, (impossible really) anyway, I was holding down two jobs before this happened a few years ago, since being on IB I self taught myself how to use a computor doing various things; I'm very much into animals so I started doing Social media / networking on a voluntary basis for animal charities, setting up fundraising pages for them, sending out emails etc to help get sponsorship etc for them.
My IB has changed to ESA, it is going to tribunal at the mo, although I feel a bit disavantaged as I am unable to get advice due to my extreme anixety with people. The powers that be told me I had to attend a work thing at the job centre which I have been unable to do due to my social phobia / anixety. So the lady at the job centre contacts me via email, I then email her back telling her what I've been doing (my virtual volunteering stuff) For some reason the benefits have cut my benefit to £55 a week without any notification and i have direct debits coming out and also the weekly shop comes to more than that. The problem being that the one thing I felt I had left and made me feel a bit useful was my virtual social media volunteering, it enabled me to be doing at least something and something to look forward to each day and It meant I didn't have any verbal or physical contact with anyone. But now my benefit has suddenly dropped I can no longer afford to pay for the internet, I know it sounds like I feel sorry for myself, but it was something I could do and going from holding down two jobs and dealing with people to this, but I thought I found a way around it with my virtual volunteering. I have to admit I feel like I'm being penalised for having this illness, an illness I really don't want and now I'm losing the one thing I had to hang onto.
Anyway, to the question I wanted to ask... Does anyone know of any websites or companies that employ people to work from home on their PC which are legit? I know there are a lot of work from home sites but it's difficult to know which are the scams and which aren't. I'm only self taught in pc skills, but I have learnt about online / networking and fixing basic pc problems. I want to try and find something before I have to cancel my broadband and also to get the benefits people to leave me alone, I don't mean to have this illness, it just happened, I've been brought up to work and pay your way, which I have until this happened then it just feels like your being penalised for having.
Thanks everyone, please let me know if you know of any legit home working sites, that would be brilliant.

You can be sanctioned for not participating in a work-related activity - even if you are going to tribunal.
This is why your benefit has likely been reduced over and above the 71/week you'd normally get.
You should have been informed of this.
The sanction will only end once you agree to perform some 'work related activity'.
If your phoneline is with BT, you can apply for 'BT basic' - which will cut your line rental.
Have you submitted additional information with your appeal?
If you have not, and you've requested that it's carried out in writing, it is unlikely to overturn the existing decision.
Do you have any doctors who understand your condition?0 -

I don't know which sites are OK, sorry, but I suggest you ask here

Yes two doctors (at my local practice) have sent in reports and apparently I come under Reg 29 of the ESA 50 thing!! . On the form I got a 17, I thought you only had to get 15 to qualify. when I got the forms back with the decision from the ESA doctor I've never met, you could tell that this person had not read any of what I had filled in by what they said. But anyway, if I could just find some form of work that I can do at home from my PC, I can stop claiming benefit and hopefully they will leave me alone.
I have said that I cannot attend the hearing, so I've sent two reports now from my doctors, I've also pointed out all the mistakes they made in their decision. They stated on the Decision that I had attended their medical, on Feb the 20Th this year which I didn't, they spoke to my partner on the phone and they told my partner I wouldn't have to attend!
Thanks for your help.
