Hi,

Has anyone been on holiday to Toronto recently? How expensive was it and roughly how much spending money do people think i will need for 2 weeks in July?

Thanks

It really depends what you want to do - prices are pretty comparable to here. We stayed in the Days Inn downtown which included breakfast and what a fantastic breakfast it was! Train fares weren't as expensive as here I don't think. If you have kids go to Wonderland it's as good as disney -if not better than d/l paris. Also a trip out to the island is a lovely day out.

It's a couple of years since we went though - if youhave any questions just ask.

  • Well we dont have kids and are stopping with friends who live over there so thats 2 expenses we dont have although we may still want to go to the the theme park! :) Planning to do the usual Niagra, CN Tower, baseball/nfl games etc plus a trip out to a lake for a weekend in a cottage etc.. Which island were you referring to - sorry if this sounds liek a daft question?!

    Thanks

The problem with Canada is .....the shops are just too good to resist!!! Make sure you have room in your suitcase for all those goodies!!

Credit Card the lot, if you've a nationwide cc then the charges are far less. Just take some cash for tips, buses etc etc.
Far safer that way and you'll get a better exchange rate and no transaction fees

Clothes - definitely! and shoes! My fave shops are Aldo and Roots.

The bay - which is a department store is great too, I got Nine West sunglasses for $14. :j

    Enjoy!!!
