help needed with photos for ebay...

Options
i think this is posted in the right place....

i sell clothes on ebay.... and take photos.... etc.. and post them via photobucket....

i have noticed other sellers have a black back ground.... apart from getting a prof.photograher's kit..

is there anyway once the photo has been uploaded to photobucket.... to black out part of the photo.. so only the garment is shown...?

i am not a whizz kid on the computer.... so dont know what can be done to photos....

thanks.....

You would be able to edit the photo with some software not sure on Photobucket though but all the main titles will support it.

Me I use the simpler approach and take photos of dark things against the carpet in the front room which is a light neutral colour or light things against the kitchen floor tiles which are black.

Go out buy a black sheet you know for a bed and hang it over a door hang the item on the door and take your photo.

Most photographers use a similar method. A huge sheet that is draped over something and pulled out and the model stands on the sheet the sheet isn't square to the wall and is slightly stiff so it remains flat as it curves at the bottom so there is no visible line.

It would also be possible to use paintshop pro or photoshop to get the same effect but a sheet would be cheaper.

would be cheaper as they are free!

But quicker and easier, as suggested, would be to take the photo with a black background in the first place.
