Hi,
Am in need of some advice on sending a fax from Hong Kong to the UK. I have been given a number to have the fax sent to, and it's written as +44 (0) 123-456-7890. So when I'm in HK, do I just dial 4401234567890 or 441234567890? Do I include the "0" or not, and what does the "+" sign mean? I understand the 44 is the international dialling code for UK.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The + sign means just that. To add 44 to the number your dialing, but to remove the number 0 within the brackets first.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

From Hong Kong there will be an international dialing code, so the phone network knows you ate placing an international call. This is commonly 00, but varies country by country, for Hong Kong it may be 001. This is what the + means. It will be easy to find out when you are there, any phone book or hotel reception will know. The 44 is indeed the UK. The (0) shows that the 0 should only be dialed inside the UK, from outside you drop the 0.
If the exit code from Hong Kong is indeed 001, the number you dial is 0014412345678900 -
Thank you to you both. It's not actually for me, but for my parents who are currently in Hong Kong at the moment. I will pass the info on to them.0
