Fan Oven - how free should fan spin?

I have replaced the heating element on my fan oven and my particular model required the fan to come off. Because it didn't come off very easily I undid a couple of screws behind the fan and then realised I could get the fan off without taking these screws out!
I assume these screws hold the motor behind the oven.
It did require some fiddling about to get the screws back in properly.
To cut a long (and tedious) story short I have it all back together but the fan now is quite stiff and doesn't spin all that freely (by hand) when everything is tightened up and I'm not actually sure how free it should acually spin.
Before I turn it on can anyone allay my fears?

The fan should move very freely - if it's even slightly stiff, it's been reassembled incorrectly.
You should be able to spin it with your fingers, and it should continue rotating for several revolutions.0
