Thought it would be plug n play but it doesnt seem to be!!!!!
There is a music player on the unit and i assumed (wrongly) that i would simply be able to plug it into my desktop PC and copy / paste the music across into the relevant folder on the unit......
When i plug the tablet in it recognises it as a camera GT-P5110
When i click on it it opens up alot of folders...NONE of which have names next to them..........
At this time, I do not have a Micro SD Card installed...however with 16GB of storage, i didnt think it would be a problem!!!!
Looked on the samsung website for help, but guess what....doesnt even list any tablets...only phones!!!
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Many Thanks

Googled 'samsung tab2 5110 music' and the relevant page on Samsung site was the first result.....0 -
Could use dropbox, can take a while to upload them, but once there you can play them anywhere or downloadMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

I experienced something similar with my Samsung Galaxy Note.
When you first connect the device, it will attempt to use an "MTP" mode to present itself as a camera or music player.
To switch from one mode to another, drag the notifications window down and you should have a "USB" option. Tap this, and you should get a dialog/screen to change from camera to music player and back. (All of this tested on Samsung Galaxy Note, Android ICS 4.0.4)
Personally though, I prefer to use USB storage mode.
To do this, go in through settings, then pick the "More" option underneath the WiFi, Bluetooth settings. You should see an option for "USB Utilities". Click this, and switch on USB Storage mode.
**THEN** connect the USB cable as prompted. This will give you what I think you are expecting - a straight connection to, and control of, your device's file system.
The only downside to this is that the MicroSD card is unmounted from the device whilst it is connected like this, so apps and data stored there are not available to the phone/tablet. I've personally never had a problem, everything comes back once you unplug and switch of USB storage.
Best of luck!0
