Tesco car insurance scam

Tesco bank car insurance voided my policy on the 21/11.2012 after they found out i made a mistake on my quote application (which was with compare site) i have had this policy since 2/2/12 so have had this policy for for over half its term and they have voided and kept all payments for for time on risk. The reason for voided is that i had a previous policy before with tesco and it was canceled for non payment, and then when i applied for new insurance on compare the market tesco allowed me to have another policy but i didnt check a box which is already auto filled in for me ''have you ever had insurance cancelled and declined or special terms imposed''. Now i have lost the policy and the money i have paid to help get my premuims reduced after 1 year without a claim and this has also made me 90% un-insurable. And i cant work now as my car is no longer insured and cant afford another deposit. My lowest quote i have is £2500 i earn 200 quid a week weres the help here

No help to you I'm afraid, but you have brought this on yourself! Whatever it is it isn't a scam!

Having 2 policies cancelled on your record will be a millstone for ever more.

See if a local broker (not swinton) can find a sympathetic insurer to take you on.

(And always disclose your cancelled policies.)

So you accidentally lied on your application, got away with it for a while, then they found out and cancelled your policy.

It's not ideal and does put you in a bad situation but I'm struggling to see where the "scam" is?

I was expecting to read about a scam by Tesco Car Insurance (as you were I expect) and i find no scam has occured but an error made by the OP means he's up the creek without a paddle.
