Ebay claims their postage label printing gives discounts, not true?

On the 'Items sold' email, ebay say '3 reasons to print your label on ebay - 1. Get discounted rates for postage'
I usually ignore this, I was sure that if they gave you a cheaper postage rate I would have heard about it, as it would be widely known. I just clicked through on an email out of curiosity, and the price it quoted me was exactly the same as the Royal Mile price.
So are they blatantly lying?
It reminds me of when they used to say 'relist for free' when an item had not sold, (think this has changed now) when it was NOT free, you had to pay to relist and then it was only refunded IF the item sold!

I believe there are some categories of parcel force charges that are cheaper, they' are on PayPal. I only use standard 1st/2nd class or parcels, so no discounts on those then. I think the wording in their email is somewhat misleading, if there are only discounts on expensive large parcel posting options.0

I received a questionnaire from eBay regarding a recent sale asking if eBay had saved me money on my postage. As I have a business account and posted through that I had no idea why they were askingYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Parcelforce is certainly cheaper, depending where/how you pay for Parcelforce, but there can be a substantial difference, running into tens of pounds from the Parcelforce website.
Apart from for account holders there isn't anywhere you can get a discount on standard Royal Mail and Ebay aren't charging more so I can't really see it as misleading..0
