April Glitch, no money paid in.

I went to withdraw some of my TC's yesterday on'y to find there was no money there, I phoned up the Preston office (the only number I could find) and was told there was a glitch in the sytem on a lot of April payments and the computers hadn't generated a payment. Apparently, I MIGHT get the money in 5-10 days, but they MIGHT just add it on to the May's money.

They knew about the problem at the start of April, and all affected accounts have been flagged, so why on earth didn't they notify those people instead of letting them go to the cash point and panic.

This is just not good enough, I have bills to be paid today, not next month, has this happened to anyone else ? and if so, have you got your April money yet ?

Thanks

this happened to me last year... Aparrently its common for it to happen at the begingin of the tax year.. I NEVER got the right amount of money paid into my account and they wont pay it :( I was paid £7 instead of £42! It left me overdrawn and with horrendous bank charges to pay! :(
