First Direct online banking - error message

Hi all,

I've tried logging into FD online banking a few times today and keep getting this message "Sorry we are currently experiencing problems with the service. Please try later or if your enquiry is urgent call 08 456 100 234 quoting reference D0001D" - is anyone else having problems?

Does this happen regularly? I've only recently transferred to FD so this isn't impressing me!

The log-in details i'm entering are definitely correct as just tried with an incorrect password and the message there is that i've entered wrong password.

Any thoughts? Anyone know how long it'll be down?

Cheers.

It's working OK for me at the moment. Perhaps try giving them a ring.

The "digital support team" is the number you got in the error message - 08 456 100 234. Give them a ring, they'll sort it out.

(But Its working fine for me)

worked ok for me earlier, rarely have problems logging on unless its planned upgrades etc but can't think of last time I had an issue.I'd recommend FD everytime.

Fine for me too. I don't think I've ever had a problem with it, unlike my NatWest account - grrr

Think you should give them a ring.

Why don't you just ring them?

That must be awful. How could they not let the poor b*gger out? Does he have to stay trapped in there?

  • Thanks all, pleased to hear it's not a common problem - I actually love Natwest online banking, have had no problems there! The reason I haven't "just rang them" is I wanted to check if it was a problem for everyone - didn't want to phone them to just be told "our systems are down"!

Will phone them this evening when I can be on a computer and not be overheard - the message is still showing today when I've tried logging on from my open plan office.

    Cheers.
