Audi A3 - where to get one cheap?
A friend is looking for a 2007-9 Audi A3 diesel - as cheap as possible.
What mileage are they good for?
Also is there a significant difference between the 1.9 and 2.0 which has various BHP levels??
Is it just the Sportback that roof rails can be fitted to in order to take roof bars? It'd be used for carrying kayaks etc
On Ebay and Autotrader UK they're going around £7- 12k
Is there any other source worth looking at?
There used to be a vehicle sourcing company , a true gent called Joe Dowd but he retired this year & closed the company down.
Does anyone know of any other such business?
Would be grateful for any advice.

If your requirements are that specific you might struggle.
Presumably the engines are good for huge mileages, depending on how well it's been looked after.
Why not get a similar aged Golf TDI? Essentially the same car but cheaper.0 -
Or Skoda Octavia. Essentially the same car but potentially MUCH cheaper.0
