Concert ticket help

I bought 2 tickets this morning on ebay for a concert in June. I decided to ask the seller for the email confirmation to show that he had bought them before I paid. He said he would send it but he has not. I then checked the seller ID on goofbid and noticed that he has sold 10 of these tickets in the last month for this sold out concert. He had been a member for nearly 10 years and has a feedback of 59.

I have not paid yet as I think it is looking very suspicious. Any advice on what to do? Should I contact ebay about it?

  • Personally I would never pay for anything on ebay that I'm not guaranteed to receive before the INR claim period is up.

I'm the same, although I believe the PayPal rules for tickets has changed- but I still won't risk it.

OP it is a bit late really to be worrying now if you have already bought them. eBay are unlikely to say anything other than to suggest you talk to the seller. If you don't pay you will of course get an NPB strike.

I assume this is a properly registered seller with all the correct listing requirements.? If so it would not be unusual for a tout to have several sets of the same concert tickets

Thank you for your replies. I know that I should have given it more thought before I bought them but I didn't think about the 45 days to make a claim.
I had a live chat with ebay and they say if tickets don't turn up they will give a one off courtesy refund within 7 days of the concert. I also told the seller I was concerned because of the number of tickets he had sold. He says " Had lots of tickets to ship from other sources. Make sure you pay through paypal for both our safety".

Still not convinced , I am worried it is a hacked account. All the tickets that have been sold have been virtually sold at face value
