  • It seems like Streamline are the best at the moment. And you can get a discount if you join the Federation of Small Businesses.

Why would you need CNP capability at a trade fair?

I'm not sure. I'm not with Streamline, but I am considering using them on the advice of many people.

How much does the Streamline service cost?
    • The amount your business pays will depend on a number of factors including card turnover and average transaction value. Because businesses tend to have varying requirements, the Streamline team will discuss charges with you when you contact us.

So it sounds a bit like those dodgy used car dealerships that don't have a price on the screen.

They start off with the highest price they think they can scam you for, and you are left to either pay the made up asking price, knock them down, or simply walk away ... if you were foolish enough ever to have walked up to them in the first place ;)

It is a bit of a "think of a number" game with them. Card processors are the only cold callers I will give the time of day...invite the rep round, get a good quote, take it to your existing provider and they are sure to price match. Having a group deal such as through a trade association often helps.

    Thanks.
Ive spoken to streamline, and whilst their transaction charges are very reasonable....
they want £170 setup fee, and £27 monthly with min £15 charges.
Sounds expensive to me for the setup fee! :(

is it worth bartering with them for the setup fee?
