  • :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Actually, he's 92, but I think she's only a slip of a thing, in her 80s! He's a bit deaf, and always shouts at me "I'M 92 YOU KNOW!!"

    Thanks for the info folks. I've let him know the good news, and he's mighty relieved - many thanks.

    :rotfl::rotfl:No doubt! Well my neighbour is thrilled, the "back pay" went into their bank account yesterday, and his wife will have the increased DLA in her payment due next week.

    Does he get Carer's Allowance? He wouldn't be entitled to the full amount but could get the "underlying entitlement" which will bring in a bit more for them.

    Thanks for that. No he doesn't get it, cos he gets SRP and you can't have both. I get the underlying entitlement, and every year I am sent a letter saying "Your benefit has increased from £0.00 to £0.00" which is great!

    That's because apparently you only get something if you're on Pension Credit and I know that he has a private pension, like us. Not a massive amount, but enough to be over the limit for PC.
