Help with house insurance

We bought our first home last December and insured with Direct Line for £369 for their home insurance plus policy.
We haven't claimed and the renewal is £431 so I phoned them to have a whinge. They said the best they can do is £390 because of increased costs in raw materials which affects the rebuild cost. I asked if they could sweeten the deal a bit by offer 0% on monthly payments (which they offer to new customers from time to time) but they said no.
I'm annoyed because we've got 2 cars with them and have done for donkeys years, and they offer a good level of cover.
Would you call back and try again with someone else... or start looking elsewhere? We can't afford £390 in one go at the moment as we had expected it to go down. I've done a quote on gocompare but not impressed with the offerings, so not sure where else to try.

Their quote seems to be competitive, based on your quotes from gocompare."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
