  • Bombay Sapphire 1 litre £16.78 at Costco. Otherwise £16.39 at Morrisons, not sure if this offer is still on though. And £17 at Sainsbury's until 11/12/2012 if you don't have a Morrisons nearby.
  • I was in Sainsburys last night and the 1lr bottle of Green Mark i bought scanned through at £13 - even better!

Annoying lid on the thing though, bit awkward but wont stop me getting at it ahem.
  • Dundalgan Irish Country Cream 70cl £3.99 at Lidl.

    Jim Beam 70cl - £13.49 at Morrisons

Tesco's Bella Veroni Amaretto 70cl - Was £10 Now £8 until 01/01/2013. Actually been on offer for a while.
Amaretto here I come! I don't suppose it's as good as Disaronno but I'll be using it in coffee and desserts, at this price it's half the cost of the brand leader.

I bought a couple of boxes of this from Aldi for £2.99 a couple of weeks ago, it is delish and £1 box cheaper than Tesco and Sainsbos. Wish I'd stocked up now :o

Incidentally, while we are on the topic of Irish cream liqueurs, the following is a recipe for Irish coffee if anyone is interested. It's very easy to make as well.

You just need one wineglass of hot strong black coffee, two tea spoons of demerara sugar, two table spoons of whiskey and 1-2 table spoons of double cream. The demerara sugar helps the cream float on top of the coffee.

Stir the whiskey and sugar into the hot coffee, float the cream on top by pouring over the back of a warm spoon, dessert or tea spoon will do. As simple as that. Don't stir the cream as this will make it sink.

Pouring the cream using the above method also prevents the cream from sinking.

Ground coffee is probably best as well, cafetiere or stove prepared coffee will do. You can also freeze coffee if you don't drink it that often, it will actually last a surprising long time in a freezer. Think the same applies with coffee beans as well. Most shops that sell coffee (e.g. Whittards) should be able to tell you how to store it if you're not sure.

There are plenty of whiskey deals posted on this thread as well, Jameson's whiskey for example is currently £15 at Sainsbury's though any whiskey will do. And you can pick up a small pot of double cream for a little over 80p, demerara sugar costs about £2 per kilo, and about £1 for 500g. Don't use demerara too often though, it's so bad for your teeth. A little double cream is also very nice on mince pies if you don't want to waist it, demerara sugar will practically last for ever.

    Slainte!
  • Smirnoff Blueberry Vodka 70cl £8 in store at Sainsbury's.
  • Rachmaninoff triple distilled 40% Vodka 70cl £9.99 at Lidl from Thursday 13th December.

It's a small step down from Lidl's Putinoff, but still gives the leading brands a run for their money.
