Hi its me again the novice DIYer,
Long story short. 1 of the screw things on the back of my Sat box the wire came out resulting in loss of signal, so pushed it back through, then my recordings were failing as wire not in right, when you strip black sheath? off ,there is some wire then some foil? then a plastic strip with a firm copper wire, have got that sorted and now managing recordings, but, I cannot get the silver bit to attach firmly ,its all loose, I can pull it out even though tightened to box, if I screw the silver covered wire bit onto the connector it seems to lose contact, I must be stripping it away,it must be providing some sort of connection, I now have to keep checking wire is still in hole
, Is there some way I can get this to attach firmly, perhaps it requires more strength than I have.

Do I need it or just want it.

The connector on your Sat box is a F type connector.
