Am I the only one who really misses Bejam?

    No! i do too :D

I remember their lemon and sultana cheesecake - it was huge and weighed a fair bit, it was also lovely and cheesy too with a great texture, not like the light fluffy too sweet stuff that is on sale nowadays.

I remember going to out local Bejam with Mum and drooling over all the nice things in the freezers :D

I miss the cream sticks too - they would be especially handy at this time of year!

In fact, I miss them so much, I've sent Iceland a message via their Contact Us page on their website. I doubt I'll get a response, but if I do, I'll let you know!

Perhaps if we all bombard them with E-mails they will realise there is a demand for them and think about stocking these useful little sticks. I always found them invaluable when I just wanted a small amount of cream to swirl into a bowl of soup.

    Dear MrsB2100,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about the Frozen Cream you used to buy from your local store.

I know how disappointing it is not to be able to get something you enjoy. I’m sorry that we’ve let you down in this way.

We regularly review our product lines in terms of quality, price and sales and we make adjustments when we feel it’s necessary. I’m afraid that this product is not as popular as you would have imagined and unfortunately we have had to discontinue it from some of our stores. This is always an extremely difficult decision to make, as we know there are likely to be some disappointed customers.

We do appreciate your feedback and we have passed your comments on to our buying team who will monitor this situation closely.

    Kind regards

    Iceland Customer Care

I haven't seen one of these since I was a kid, does Iceland sell them ? If so I'll be bagging one of those to feed to my mother :D

I've seen them in LIDL recently & in T's, they have the Coppenwrath & Weissen (sp?) ones on offer (might be half price at £5 for a large one).
I think it's the sort of thing that surfaces around Christmas time, I love them although not overkeen on chocolate cake - must be the kirsch :D.

I made a black forest roulade last weekend for a treat - tin of cherries in syrup, added some kirsch (waitrose sell it about £7.70 for a small bottle), a choc roulade with 5 eggs and 70% dark choc and whipped double cream. Yummy and easy.
