tesco groceries removing discount after order placed?

Am new to this site and saw the great deal on Tesco groceries so copied and pasted the codes for £10 off first order, £10 off if a meal deal was bought and spent over £50 and added a code for 1,000 points. All went through successfully last night. Great! Just had an email from Tesco saying they've removed one of the £10 discounts as I can't use 2 at once! When I logged into my account to check, they have indeed removed 1 £10 off but also removed my 1,000 extra points! Has this happened to anyone else? It was my first ever tesco grocery shop online (and my last!!!) and I had ordered the correct items so I think I'm entitles to both discounts and what about the points? Also seeing as I paid last night how do they got the extra £10 I now owe? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

First, you didn't pay last night, they take the payment on the morning your shopping is picked. And I placed an order last thur for collection Friday, when I got there they hadn't took the discounts off so I rang when I got home and they refunded me £20 but not the points. Sounds as if they have cottoned onto the deal now tho and looking out or both codes being used.
  • Yes have realised that now, was first time have bought groceries online, am used to paying online at checkout and that's it, price you see is price you pay.
Just spoke to customer services and said to call back after delivery and they might be able to give £10 back but not points. Have cancelled order now as was only bulk buying to make the £50. Thanks for your help

Also with home shopping you'll notice online that it says guide price. Mine was about 40p more than what it said when I placed the order the night before. Think it's due to the cost of loose veg etc and prices changing I store x
