WF told me that the London hearing wasn't in our best interests so going by that a quick resolution is a decent possibility.
With the financial clout Barclays has any action against them would be costly and last a while, cheaper just going to the papers.Bad publicity is what is feared most these days0 -
Once we get a dividend
I'm probably stating the obvious here, but I'm guessing in a case like this, the individuals are not technically the creditors, but your pension schme is. Therefore, if any money is retrieved it would need to be returned to the original pension scheme (if they would accept it) or another pension scheme.
For the adminstrators to pay money directly to an individual who has had their pension 'liberated', this would constitute another unauthorised payment considering nobody under 55 should be able to receive a lump sum from a pension scheme?0 -
It's now down to WF if the 8th March hearing takes place- once they request the money from Barclays it's all over.If its proven that Barclays have allowed Mack to abuse the types of accounts he held with them then we should all be looking at suing them, to make up the shortfall.0
-
Or WF can make/ask Mack to stump up the shortfall.Kinda sticks in the throat if he gets off with it and is free to do it again0

After almost 6 months Barclays are still not cooperating. They are forcing us to go to court on the 8th March to prove we are owed our money. But the best bit is they (along with Addleshaws) will be hitting our pensions for their costs!!! And it's not just the costs of the court case, it's since Addleshaws were appointed, over 4 months ago!! Is it any wonder why the public have such a low opinion of banks. Thanks very much Barclays- you really are utterly mercenary and without morals.0

i concur with manc youth the facts are we as creditors are been taken to the high court in london against our wishes so to summarise we pay for the odious wilson fields legal costs barrister for the day food drink and travel and also barclays entire legal costs since they froze the bank account in september we are estimated to be at the quarter of a million pound mark nowthis comes directly out of our pension money ps wilson field have not had the decency to even inform the creditors we are going to court yet we had to ring barclays up to find out.I am a defendant in this case and the peverse thing is i cant afford to travel to this hearing .........people learn from us stay clear of wilson fields administration and barclays bank .....0

just got off the phone to wilson fields who are the administration company and barclays and the end result is as follows when the high court case is finished on friday the 8th of march barclays will take all their legal fees of around a quarter of a million pounds out of our pension money and by the time wilson fields have finished administrating the remaining money there will be nothing left at all of our pension money in fact i have been told us creditors may be presented with a outstanding bill from wilson fields for their administration costs in short us creditors are recieving nothing its a straight split of our pension money between barclays bank and wilson fields between them .0

if it is of any comfort 4 tabloids are in attendance next week at the high court one of our fellow defendants barristers will be doing a q and a regarding treatment by both wilson fields and barclays ie the costs they are squeezing out of us0
