What you don't see on-line

But some savings accounts do, including some bank accounts, eg:
Nationwide, on the other hand, don't show them directly, but do give you a link to find out the current interest rate for any account you hold with them (on the same page as your account), and email you if the rate changes.
You don't say who you are with, and its clearly not applicable to all.
I have just checked my Nationwide accounts and they clearly show the interest rate and in the case of ISAs they show how much you have put in this year.
Santander on the other hand you have to trawl through pages, especially if the account is no longer available. If at first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you!0 -
I mentioned that when I went into Barclays last time, as they'd just redesigned the site I felt it was a major oversight. The chap I spoke to said that he'd had lots of people saying the same thing and that any comments made to branch staff were fed back to the web site people, so he encouraged me to "officially" tell him rather than just mention it in conversation. I took the opportunity to point out that I'd also tried to fill out an online feedback questionnaire and said the same thing.
What I dislike is that many on-line banking sites (AA springs to mind) won't allow you to send them a message via the site to discuss your specific account "for security reasons". It's ridiculous. I've signed in, my ID is verified enough for me to be able to transfer all the money somewhere else, but not verified enough to be able to ask them a question about an account. All to drive me to their telephone service instead, which must cost them more and certainly costs me more.0 -
Isn't this something the FSA are looking in to?0
