iTunes Library / External hard drive conundrum

Having recently purchased a Packard Bell external hard drive I decided to backup my MP3 player files so I could effectively listen to them via the PC without needing the player.
Having got them all on there I imported them to my iTunes music library and hey presto almost 30GB of music ready to go.
However after a couple of succesful 'sessions' I have now encountered a problem in that my PC is now recognising the external hard drive under a different drive letter to the one initially selected when doing the import to the library thus iTunes can't find any of the files without me re-directing each individual track to the correct filepath.
Is there any easy way I can force my PC to select a particular drive letter for the device to get this working again? I have one other USB device (printer) which is I'm guessing what caused the problem in the first place.
Any help much appreciated

This is from memory as i'm booted into Linux at the moment.. but you need to go into Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management
In that tool select disk manager and you can change the drive letter you want by right clicking and selecting the new oneEver stop to think and forget to start again?0 -
Spot on, that works a treat.
Very much appreciated:T0
