Have lived in our wreck for a week now and have had to swiftly change our priorities of work ( when we fell through the floor lol)
Anyway had a builder look at the hole. It is obvious the joists are wet. It is worse in the corner of the house where the outside has large shrubs overgrowing the drain. Builder man is quoting for replacing all the floorboards, joists and timber plate I think it is called.
My question is should I take his word for it that he can rectify the problem (will obviously remove shrubs and unblock drain) Or should I get quotes from specialist timber companies?
Seem to be spending my whole life on the phone or showing people round for quotes rather than getting on with jobs. And the next person who sees our house and says..well it's got potential Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
