    Hi Milly

    I'm really new to this myself and as a former English Lit student I adore books, again the Library's are great (although sometime limited) and it's a great way of meeting new authors! Although from all the posts here I almost think it would be a good thing to set up our own lending service!

    Or Waterstone's often do half price or less deals on their website if your in 'need' of the new book smell.

    I'm the only one of my friends that is trying to pay off debt (the other don't care!:eek: ) But as none of us can afford much we tend to had small dinner parties, BBQ and with all this great weather it's a wonderful way to have a social afternoon/evening in the sun! It's also much cheaper than the pub.

    But good luck with everything, making it this far is a great step :T
    Current debt - £16,300 :(
    Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek:
    :ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A

    We are both book worms, go to the library once a fortnight and usually take out 12 books each, we can reserve books and they email us when they are in, its free for us, but even 50p is better than spending money on buying books. Over the years we have sold hundresds of books we bought, at one stage we had 4 large bookcases, we are now down to just 1!!!

    The librarian cheers when we go in, all our stock coming back, its a standing joke...............

    My contract as a nanny is lax to say the least, they are school techers so get about 16 weeks holls a year(private school - long holidays). I said i would take half paid and the other half unpaid. am hoping to put my charges up as Im losing about £10 a day on the going rates... im just a bit of a wimp!

    I think this is the biggest thing that needs addressing maybe ask on the work board if there are any nanny's out there & how they charge etc.
    If you bit the bullet and raised your rates then that would be approx extra 50 quid/wk and you wouldn't need an extra job!! Value yourself, altho teachers always complain they never get paid enough its still a decent enough living i'm sure they can afford it (lets put it this way they'll be on more than you!)
