    My 10 NCB is not with CIS it is with a previous insurer of which I did not renew with. I have only been with CIS since March of this year. I had to send them proof of my no claims from my previous insurer.

    I am already at a max discount for my no claims. The idea was to add my brother to the policy to allow him to build some of his own so that he be would be able to have a cheaper premium.

    yep, but they might well not issue the NCB until the money side is sorted out

    And the time on risk charge (Charge for cover provided) if you cancel will be based on the increased premium if they have good systems in place.
