Moving house and DD

Options
Ok we want to move house in a the nearish future but need to plan ahead.
What i want to know is, at the moment we pay a certain amount each month by Direct debit. Now if we were to move, and take providers with us, would be be able to just carry on paying so much each month without having to have interuptions, as i don't want a mess up and can't afford closing bills from old address and new ones from new address at the same time if you get what i mean.

Basically we don't have alot of money to move with so if we could transfer it all over with no hassle it would be fine, or is it not that simple?

Policy will vary from company to company, so you are best off checking with your supplier.

You should work out if you are in credit or debit before you worry about it. It might be that you are in credit in which case it won't do any harm to start afresh with the best value supplier on the new property, rather than sticking to your present supplier.
  • Thanks, Well i know we are in credit on the gas and water, not the electric i don't think though. I'm quite happy with what we pay tbh.
