Voluntary Redundancy and holidays

Well my redundancy is now looming and my last official day is 26 November.
However, we booked a 2 week holiday at the beginning of the year and will be away from 3 Dec - 17 Dec.
Am I right to assume I should wait until I get back from my holiday to register online for JSA please?
