Options for large asbestos cement structure

  • This is interesting: I've had two quotes for the removal of the asbestos cement structure. First was £550. Second was £3500. Clearly there are different approaches to this job!
  • I would agree with olias & Kiran.

    Dismantle carefully and double bag in DPM sheeting. If you have to break up the sheets spray with PVA glue first.
    The £550 option sounds about right. Have a word with your local council recycling people....They get this stuff all the time.

    People make a lot of money from removing old asbestos garages. Changes in regulations don't make this stuff more, or less, dangerous to dispose of.....just more expensive.
