The way I see it is it is a labour intensive job...but not exactly a "specialist " job to undertake and as such if thats the only thing stopping the OP from purchasing his otherwise perfect house its quite an easy job to undertake.

Definately not a deal breaker and would not have prevented me from buying the house. I suppose its just nice to know what you are getting.

And I agree, its by no means a specialist job. Can be easily achieved with a lot of graft (help from a few mates is definately recommended - in exchange for a few cans of beer!!).

If I was looking for a house where having a garden mattered, I think that I might look for one where the garden was bigger than 15'x12'. My bedroom is that size. Still, it takes all sorts to make a housing market.

I do wonder about that too, there is just about room to bury a small dog, but not much more. So I doubt anyone with Fred West's proclivities would have bought the house.

Unless ... Is there a cellar?
