Does anyone know if the websave account from West brom is any good? It seems to get a decent write up on here www.saversfriend.co.uk but can't find much about it anywhere else?

What do you mean by 'is any good'?

Westbrom is a reputable Building Society
In my experience, they are efficient & customer service staff polite & helpful
They sometimes offer table topping rates

Is that any help?

Are you referring to their <Websave Plus 3> account?

• 2.30% Gross p.a. AER Variable, AER quoted is based on an investment made 2 November 2012
• One withdrawal per account year. Further withdrawals will result in a charge.

Not everyone regards withdrawal restrictions like this as "easy access"

Thanks badger09 was in a bit of a rush when I posted earlier so probably didn't make myself clear. Was looking to see whether anyone had an experience of dealing with West Brom as I have always tended to go with the big named banks in the past but going to give them a miss now! If they deliver good service as you say then I'm happy to try them out.

Consumerist, yep I was talking about the Websave Plus 3 account, which should be fine for me as I don't envisage making more than one withdrawal a year. Thanks

I've had several accounts with them over the years and never had any problems. With Fixed Rate accounts they always write 3 - 4 weeks prior to maturity, with a range of options. My most recent matured on 30 September (Sunday) and funds were in my current account on 1 October

The smaller societies sometimes offer very competitive rates so don't ignore them;)
