Hi, I was recently on a train for approx. 6hrs and paid 9.99:eek: for wifi, utter waste of money, I thought I would be able to watch BBC IPLAYER - nope it said it was only available to people in the uk:mad:, then I decided to but a movie from iTunes and download it, 6hours later it was still downloading:mad:. I complained about the service and got told it states clearly (NOT) that it has limitations. Don't waste your money on train wifi, that's my opinion.

If your taking a laptop, take a couple of DVDs and some headphones with you.

    Same. On a long-distance train.
Only really works at all well in some seats I believe (and its hard to predict where) and is slow elsewhere. Like treacle. :(

Borrow some DVDs from your library.
Or a box set of some series you want to catch up on. Everybody's got one from last Christmas that you never got round to seeing I'll bet.
