I thought all car dealers gave you their branded ones for free
Unless it's a private purchase you're talking about?
It is not brand new, we bought it off our mechanic who we have used for about 15 years. It was a Category C write off, ie repairs were more than the car was worth, so I guess the tax was cashed in.
It is just perfect for her and he has given it a full service and MOT for a year.0 -

Thanks I will have a look tomorrow. Did not think about it being as easy as that.0 -

My question is about calculating the magnitude of a car moving in a straight line at a constant speed....basically i dont know how to do it and I am pulling my hair out
I am just looking for some guidance on how to work it out, my tutor isnt answering her phone, despite telling me to ring her :mad:
If you could help I would be forever grateful, but if not, its not a problem, the assignment will just have to go in with it unanswered
Magnitude of velocity is speed. There is a difference made in physics between the definitions 'distance' (distance travelled) and 'displacement' (which also takes acceleration and direction into account), but as your car is travelling in a straight line at constant speed they will be the same thing.
It it is all to do with linear motion and Newton's first law, and will come under both physics and maths. Look up motion along a straight line on google, and don't be put off by all the formulae and greek letters! There are lots of helpful tutorials online, and wikipedia is good at explaining any terms you don't understand. Good luck!I am not young enough to know everything.0 -
