Can second this - our local newsagent always happy to get change after we have done a car boot sale. Newsagent has to pay for her change :eek:- so it works for both of us (and we don't have 4 mile drive and parking!). Only full bags and pre counted - she appreciates the £1 coins and silver the most - but still took bronze - get the bags from your bank for them.

They may not take it all at once - sometimes she will say don't need bronze this week/ or so many £1 coins, but will usually take them the following week.

Ask if its Ok first and choose a quite time when you go in ....

And now have my list of elves to send Xmas cards to from Xmas thread - getting excited. Ha Ha anyone else like me reading about getting organised for Xmas and getting bargains where they can - but spending so much time doing this might have got more done (Xmas card box been out a week - I have written 10 none of which are the ones needing posting ... mental note must try harder).:rotfl:And tidying so difficult with 25 milk trays wrapped and at the foot of the bed!
