  • Afternoon all

    No shopping for me today.

Went to a party last night and the exit from the venue got flooded while we were there. There was only one way out and it was through the flood. We only live a 10 min walk down the road from the venue so it was always the plan that we would walk back.

I was wearing 5 inch heels, and was still up to my ankles in water

I ended up having to take them off as my feet were slipping on them, and finished walking home barefoot.

My lovely Kurt Geigers are currently drying out on the radiator!

Bubbs I hope its stopped raining for you and you can get back home soon :)

Oh dear your poor shoes, and such special ones!
I have a pair of fold up pumps that I always keep in my bag for the walk home. Usually I use them cos of aching feet though. Suppose you would have needed fold up wellies!

Bubbs, I grew up quite close to you. Many happy memories.

No shopping for me today unless the internet throws up something delightful. Saved £42 (about 75%) on dgd xmas present. Bought an duplicated gift off fleabay. Children don't know the difference and was still in box.

Yes its a pity, would have been happy if they compared to £3 as they did earlier in the week. I had plans of experimenting with gin or vodka as a mixer ;)
