The end of the world is nigh ( well it sure felt like it, pitch black at 3pm, floods, gales - so lucky to live up a hill so we're safe once home, there will be people struggling tonight
)
We've all come in and put PJs straight on
So grateful for full cupboards and central heating on days like this - home is haven (it does make my boys soft tho' - they know nothing of washing in the kitchen sink with the oven door open for heat LOL)
Thanks for all the kind messages - nice to feel welcome0 -
Just a thought... is everyone aware of Pharmacy First? My local is in Superdrug and it allows you to get some Prescription items without going to the Docs. I use it for free headlice lotion for the kids, just go in and ask and they give it you. x
We have this too called "the minor ailment scheme" pharmacists are reluctant to tell you about it, but anyone who gets free prescriptions (ie my DD) gets free calpol/ paracetamol, calprofen/ ibuprofen and head lice ointment - saved me a fortune!!!!!!2 years since my OH gave up smoking - total saving approx £5475!!!! :T0 -

I dont like days like today
There was loads of flooding near me yesterday, Misery Guts only works a mile up the road and he had a horrendous job getting to work yesterday.
Today its just horrible. All windy and rainy, I had twice had to chase my wheelie bin down the road, it hit my window on one occasion
Looks like the council have been busy after emptying the bins, by lying them down!

What a charming idea. Thank you young lady. I shall see if it works. Probably not though. I remember going to this store and doing a mysterious shop and the awful troll bag shouted at me because I had to ask if I could bring some baby food back as I had purchased 10 jars and the baby did not like them. This was hypothetical to see if cs gave the correct answer, I did not actually buy any baby food nor was I returning any. I ended up getting a full scale bollocking about how daft I was and that I should have just bought one first. Needless to say it was not the right answer.
Now do you understand why I am scared of getting my a$$ smacked all on the shop floor?:o:o

Many thanks teeandrew for the .pdf of the real food mag. :T Have used the snipping tool and saved the vouchers to a word doc. My local Mr T is fine with taking downloaded vouchers from their mags, I did check with cust serv too and they said they should accept them.
I remember someone saying when the IDH show thingy was on that they liked the Nakd Bars. In the mag there's a voucher for 30p off any 35g bar or multipack. Not sure how much the single bars are as they're not showing on MSM. We will just have to keep our eyes open and see when they come on offer - expire 31.01.13 so we have a while yet.
There's also a 30p off voucher for Kingsmill Oatilicious, expires 31.01.13 too.

just catching up. No shopping for me today. finished work, picked up kids and came home to cuddle up in the warm
we have a lovely sausage and (5) bean casserole simmering in the slow cooker, a kids film on and a nice snuggly duvet. Its bliss
hope everyone else is having a good day, shopping or otherwise.
I'm going to have a browse online for some xmas craft ideas, I'm getting more excited than the kids
Hi In_A_Pickle - only just caught up and saw this post. Have you visited the Xmas section on the For where ever you are section?
Espcially the Let it snow thread .. similar to this one but all about xmas and general support, and there are some threads especially for different types of crafting. Let it snow highlights bargains, things to do with kids etc - and the odd craft thing. Any how HTH - apologises if you have already discovered.....

I feel stuffed now
had an early tea
DH thoughtfully did a hotpot before we went out  used a tin of corned beef rather than lamb and it tasted soooooo good
Now I'm having a coffee then popping out to [STRIKE]Sada[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]morries[/STRIKE] tosco :cool:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0
