Power to the People Oldham

Hi all, my parents have asked me to look into this

Google - "oldham power to the people gas and electric" (my link doesnt work).

I am a bit skint so does anyone know anything about it before I take the plunge? The savings are there, but is it trustworthy - hassle free etc?
Thanks
Debs

Group switching schemes are in their infancy.

The Which one wasn't very helpful.

Group switching in the same region may have more power in the elec market since its all with the sane distributor.

If it works for you, great.

Seriously, suppliers aren't bothered by small groups leaving them.

  • I will look into it - thanks. Its all so confusing but I suppose this is why the government is looking at the tariffs and making us all go on the lowest one.

Surely this will mean that the companies just bump up the price of the lowest one!!!! Then it will be the lowest - but still higher than it used to be.

Not hard for them to get round!!!

Yes, but collective switching is exempt from the restriction on tariffs so you may or may not get a better deal.

Just check the t&c's and ensure you can opt out after you are given the deal prices. Then you can always walk away so you can't lose anything by trying.
