Feedback removal & getting Ireland

Hi, i've had my first ever in 7 years neg feedback today and probably all low stars from the seller I posted about before. (claimed not new, sent back screwed up, I fully refunded but they wanted return postage before they left "appropriate" feedback) They've put not fully refunded in the feedback aswell that ebay can see i have fully refunded.
I phoned to try and get Ireland but I don't have a very good ear for accents, I'd be able to tell after a couple of sentences but not the quick hello ebay etc. I got the request a ringback message and had heard that it was Ireland that phoned you back so tried that but it wasn't! I went through the saga anyway since they had called me and they said they'd transfer me to the department that dealt with feedback removal and after giving details and going off to check things they said they'd investigate it and send me an email, am I write in thinking this won't get anywhere and I need to keep trying to get Ireland?!
I'm not so bothered about the neg but the low stars worry me even though i've only got 1 low in one area at the moment.

Not sure about who to call, but have you put a factual response to the neg for now? i.e. "item was definitely new. buyer fully refund".Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I am not sure what you are trying to get to here. 1 neg in 7 years is great as far as eBay is concerned. If you are only a part time seller selling old household goods etc I wouldnt worry at all.
The last I remember eBay will only remove a comment if it is abusive but the negative will still remain in place.0 -
No it's not the neg i'm worried about, my other feedback is glowing and I don't think it would put buyers off (even though they called me dishonest!) it's the horror stories of people being kicked off cos of a few low stars. I am a private seller but have a lot to get rid of cos I kept all my daughters clothes (9 years worth!) for when we had another and then had a boy! There's some nice stuff in there, too good to give away and I want to get something back from them!
The injustice of it does get to me aswell and i'm a perfectionist and don't like to see low scores!
Presuming she has left me all lows, the amount allowed for IAD is only 1% so if you sell less than 100 items wouldn't one low put you above 1% and so below standard? Or does it have to be 3 lows?
ETA - I haven't replied yet, thinking what to put. I guess i'm not allowed to say only paid after I opened UPI?! Is she allowed to put dishonest anyway? Though if I complained about that no doubt they'd remove the comment and not the neg.0 -
Sounds like feedback extorsion - use ebat chat -thats how i got my first one removed.
Buyer demanded money and hinted at bad feedback if you didn't.ulsterbeef wrote: »I am not sure what you are trying to get to here. 1 neg in 7 years is great as far as eBay is concerned. If you are only a part time seller selling old household goods etc I wouldnt worry at all.

Quite a sweeping statement seeing as feedback DSR's damage rating based on number of sales - ie percetntages - and you don't know how many the seller as sold.
Ebay have lots of reasons to pull feedback - and not just the one you mantioned. I doubt ebay think getting a neg and low stars is "great" as you state. They would encourage us all to get them.0 -
If you phone in the early morning or late evening you are more likely to get Ireland. Like techspec says use the 'feedback extortion' statement when trying to get the feedback removed.
Also, it is not correct that only the comments are removed, if CS remove the neg they take it all including stars.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No luck with live chat although I didn't think there would be really, I think they were smart that they put in the message "refund me the money before I leave appropriate feedback" rather than negative feedback although it clearly implies the same thing! They've left me 1 stars for IAD, Comms and dispatch, I can only assume it was a mistake that she left out P&P. That means i've 2 lows in dispatch now even though the first 1 in May I sent next day and this one was same day as payment.
I guess I should still try to phone and get Ireland, mornings aren't great cos of the school run maybe I could try late at night. I'm the type of person that hates using the phone at the best of times so find it quite stressful.0
