B/Gas Homecare 200

We are 7 months into the 1st year of a B/Gas Homecare200 service contract @£16 p/month for the first year. Haven't been able to find the costs involved after the first year anywhere. Had to call out an engineer today (Potterton Suprima Circuit Board problem as mentioned elsewhere in these forums) and asked the girl what the charges would be after the first year. She stated that she had no idea because the contracts team would assess our contract and tell us near renewal date what charge to expect. Can anyone tell me what they are being charged for their second year? This would be our second callout - we mentioned the lockout problem to the engineer who came to the first callout (pump problem) and he said "it's the wind blowing out your pilot light". At the time we just took his word but having read these forums realise he was just spinning us a line!!

I've had BG homecare for a number of years now & if I remember correctly I only get about £18-£20 discount on the annual charge for no call outs. I think this is pretty poor really as I haven't had to call them out in about 8 or 9yrs!
Everybody's premium increases each year, even when there have been no call outs. I usually expect mine, after discount, to be costing me around an extra £4 month. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Thanks.
It didn't occur to me that there wouldn't be a standard charge for everyone after the first year, it doesn't say anywhere that I can find how they work out the amounts due. I could understand it if they were to publish a fixed fee to which any discount gained would be applied but they don't.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0
