Wrong vehicle reg: Am I obliged to pay?

Came back to the car to find another ticket on it last night, this time applied after I'd paid. Nice try. At least now I know to ignore them!

Keep the ticket, appeal, when refused get a popla number, win the appeal(which you will) and cost them money. Its satisfying getting back at bullies where it hurts.

I'm not sure if the DVLA are told the make of the vehicle or if they pass the car details over and give that information. Are they just not given the reg number in the request for details.

One of our drivers received a bus lane contravention notice through Bath Council I think and it was clear the vehicle on the photograph was not a VW golf, but that didn't stop them issuing a ticket.:mad:
