Slow post - anyone else?

I seem to be hitting the bad sellers, this is my 3rd item not received over the last 2 months!! (bear in mind I have been using ebay for 8 years and never used to have problems until all ebays 'improvements') anyway ... their last message was 'you will get it soon' I paid for it 10 days ago.. so asked when it was posted... no reply! People just don't care anymore!!

We are for once nearly at full staff in our office, but yes it is getting busy already. Normally on our rounds we have two mail sacks of packets/parcels, last week I cane in to see there were already two sacks full next to my frame and a further two in the sorting frame.

We normally use either Vauxhall Combi or Peugeot Bipper vans one day last week one round had to be given a Transit because all the mail and parcels including tracked and specials wouldn't fit in.

And it's going to get worse!!

Quite big delays for me getting stuff I've bought from ebay and the way sellers handle situation very different.

First was a parcel sent first class waited a week no parcel, contacted seller and they sent a replacement 1 class recorded that arrived next day. 1 week after getting replacement orginal parcel turns up.
Contact seller and they kindly let me keep it:)

Second was a Letter marked as dispatched last monday I hadn't recieved it by the weekend. Contacted seller sunday to say it hadn't arrived. Response was simply posted first class monday and confirming my address. I confirmed this was the correct address, then response was they would make another for free if I just paid postage. This was a low value item and you certainly wouldn't need two so it would be clear I wasn't trying to scam them so I was disappointed by the response. Thankfully item arrived monday but I have yet to decide what stars to leave with my feedback.

Thought I'd add a positive story to this thread.

Bought an item of clothing from an Australian Ebay seller last Tuesday night. The listing said that the item was located in Hong Kong. It arrived first thing today, so that's barely 5 working days which I think is exceptional.

I suppose we have to come across this sort of buyer every now and then.
