Hopefully not stating the obvious, but you are still behooved to use your Clubcard when buying the fuel & paying with a Tesco credit card (unless you accumulate greater discounts elsewhere...
This is definitely a deal worth cashing in on. There are other money saving strategies available through supermarket fuel - check out The UK Fuel Cards Organisation, for impartial & unaffiliated advice.
An increasingly popular card for saving money via fuel cards is the Fuel Genie card which you can use at several different supermarkets (and still collect your clubcard/nectar points too). Well worth a look!
My only concern here is that I had heard that supermarket fuel is not as good as the fuel provided by BP, Shell, Texaco, Esso & Total. Can anyone confirm this? Surely the supermarkets just buy the same fuel, no? Or is it suggested that they degrade it in some way to make more money? Advice appreciated please!0 -
Regardless of what fuel storage regulations say, you can fill up as many jerry cans as you like, the only requirement for the offer is that only 1 car is used.
And if you want to be completely anal, you could fill up your car, have two friends on standby with 2 x 20 litres cans, who will carry them away from the station by hand.
FYI
The regulations state that you can store upto 20 litres in each location, each location has to be seperate from the other location by a set distance (which I forget but something like 10m) So you can legally put 20 litres in your shed at the bottom of the garden, 20 litres in your garage, and 20 litres in the alley at the oposite side of your house...0 -

Go with a friend and put 50 litres in each car. Split the bill. Job done. You will both need to be using the same fuel in the same car but shouldnt be a problem. We did this and its not a massive faff - just dont put the nozzle back in the pump.0

to use these vouchers when buying fuel at Tesco filling stations, you don't have to have or use a tesco clubcard or a tesco credit card.0 -

You can only fill 1 car in their T&C's.
Obviously it depends on the person on shift if they care if you fill more than one jerry can or car.0 -
Does anyone have a homeshopping fuel voucher? Do they look sharp around the barcode, or slightly fuzzy? I've bought some from ebay, and looks like they could be fake, even though seller same they were genuine and has had good feedback. ThanksNext year we'll be millionaires!0

I would never buy vouchers as they have barcode numbers and i am sure tesco will have set their system up to know what numbers have been used.0
